God’s Lens of Love is a children’s ministry created to nurture hearts, restore hope and remind every child that they are deeply loved by God. Through stories, music, prayer and beautifully transformed spaces we help children feel safe, seen and cherished especially during seasons of hardship. We believe that when a child experiences love, peace and beauty they thrive and their healing begins.

Our mission is to support children emotionally, spiritually and creatively by meeting them exactly where they are. We serve children from all backgrounds regardless of faith because every child deserves to grow up feeling valued, protected and loved. Through faith-filled stories, comforting music, prayer and nurturing environments, we aim to plant seeds of hope that will grow for a lifetime.

Our CHILDREN'S BOOKS are written to help young hearts understand their emotions through the love of Jesus.
Each story is designed to gently guide children through real feelings such as fear, sadness, jealousy, insecurity, loneliness and joy.

Through our room transformation ministry, we create peaceful, nurturing spaces for children who have experienced hardship, trauma, loss or instability.
Each room is thoughtfully designed with love, prayer, and intention, transforming not just walls and furniture, but how a child feels in their own space.

A BEAUTIFUL ROOM TRANSFORMATION MADE POSSIBLE BY LOVE
This room transformation was created for Emily Rose, a brave and beautiful little girl courageously facing Stage 4 Ewing’s Sarcoma.
During this difficult season, Emily shared a bedroom with her teenage brother and had very little privacy of her own. In a time when she needed comfort, calm and personal space, her room offered few places where she could truly feel at ease. Through the generosity of caring hearts, we were able to thoughtfully redesign the shared space to give Emily something she had been missing, a sense of privacy, dignity and peace.
A divider bookshelf was carefully placed to create two distinct areas within the room, allowing Emily to have a space that felt safe and truly hers, while still maintaining functionality for both children.
Family photographs were arranged above her bed to surround her each night with warmth, love and reassurance. A small vanity nook was also created just for Emily, a joyful retreat where she can feel like a little girl again.
One especially meaningful detail honored the memory of Emily’s dear friend who had passed away. A cherished blue summer dress was lovingly transformed into a pillow and placed on her bed, a gentle reminder that love remains close, even through loss.
Because of compassion and generosity, Emily now has a room that brings her comfort during challenging days — a space that reflects dignity, hope, and care. Your support makes moments like this possible.

FOUNDER'S STORY
God’s Lens of Love was founded by Dorothy Burlakowska, a mother, designer, musician and woman of faith
whose life journey deeply shaped her heart for children.
As a young child, Dorothy immigrated to the United States from Poland. Leaving behind familiarity, language and comfort,
she experienced firsthand the uncertainty, fear and emotional vulnerability that many children face when their world suddenly changes. As a child learning to navigate a new country, new culture and new surroundings she understood what it felt like to be overwhelmed, unseen and searching for safety. Those early experiences planted a deep compassion within her, especially for children who carry emotions they cannot yet put into words.
Throughout her life, creativity became her refuge. Music, design and artistic expression were not only passions, but ways of healing and gentle tools that brought peace, beauty and hope during uncertain seasons. Years later, as a mother and professional interior designer, Dorothy felt a clear calling, to combine faith, creativity and compassion to serve children who
are hurting. God’s Lens of Love was born from the belief that children do not need perfection, they need gentleness.
They need to feel safe. They need to be reminded that God sees them, knows them and loves them deeply.
Through room transformations, children’s books, music, and prayer Dorothy seeks to reflect the love of Jesus in tangible, comforting ways meeting children exactly where they are emotionally. This ministry is not about appearances or design alone.
It is about restoring dignity, creating peace and reminding every child that they matter.
Dorothy believes that when a child feels loved, beauty becomes healing and when love is given freely, God does the rest.
